Tonight we had Mike Lisi, professional pen tester, member of the white team at CNY hackathon, and one of organizers of NCAE Cybergames briefly speak about his experience starting in cybersecurity, getting certifications, and working in industry for a consulting firm and as an independent consultant/contractor.
We also learned how to setup, secure, and manage services in our virtual lab environment. We set up web (Apache), database (SQL), and DNS (allows internet) servers. For everyone who came tonight, good work! You did a great job and we all learned a lot.
As a reminder: we do NOT have a meeting next week. Our next meeting is after break on 11/30.
