Team Captain Program
One of the best ways to ensure that your organization is up-to-date on OttoTHON is to have a designated team captain!
A team captain serves as a liaison between your organization and OttoTHON. They will schedule an initial 1:1 meeting with our team captain chair to learn about their role in OttoTHON, and afterwards will attend meetings twice a month with other Team Captains to learn about upcoming events and then can relay that information back to you during organization. They can also help get the organization registered for OttoTHON 2027 all at once and answer questions about the registration process that might come up!
Perks of being a team captain:
- A way for students to hold a leadership title. An amazing opportunity for students to boost their resume.
- All participation in anything OttoTHON related does count for any service hour requirements they have for for academic and outside needs.
- We want this to be a partnership between OttoTHON and the organization you are representing. This means we want to hear how we can help support you and your org.
Team captain registration is ongoing throughout the year. To start your team email our team captain chair, Lulu, at ottothon.teamcaptains@gmail.com.
General Body Committee
The General Committee is a great way to get involved with as much commitment as you choose. General Body meetings will be held twice a month where they will learn about upcoming events, how they can participate, and bond with other members in the organization. They are encouraged to attend events/meetings, but not required. Registering and attending the main event is also encouraged.
Everyone is welcome to join the general body at any time! Reach out to our general body chair, Erica, at ottothon.generalbody@gmail.com with any questions!
OttoTHON Leadership Program
The OttoTHON Leadership Program is designed to welcome first-year and transfer students into the world of Syracuse University’s largest student-run philanthropy. Through weekly meetings filled with engaging workshops, team bonding, and behind-the-scenes insights into Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, participants gain a strong understanding of OttoTHON’s mission, values, and impact.
A key part of OLP is its mentor/mentee structure, where each participant is paired with an upperclassman for guidance, support, and friendship throughout the year. Beyond the fall semester, OLP members play an active role in helping prepare for and support our Main Event in the spring, putting their knowledge and passion into action during one of the most exciting and meaningful weekends on campus.
Applications for the 2026-2027 year are closed. Check back in the beginning of August 2027 for applications.
